FAQ's
Are your sculptures suitable for the outdoors and will they rust over time?
Michael’s sculptures are designed to grace your outdoor environment for years to come. Crafted from high-quality, marine-grade 316 stainless steel, they boast exceptional resistance to rust and corrosion, even when exposed to harsh weather conditions. This superior steel allows the sculptures to retain their brilliance and shine, becoming a lasting focal point in your garden or patio.
A Note on Painted Sculptures
While some of Michael’s smaller creations incorporate paint for artistic expression, these are best suited for indoor display. Over time, exposure to the elements can affect the vibrancy of the paint. To ensure these pieces stay looking their best, we recommend enjoying them inside your home.
How do I clean and look after my stainless steel sculpture?
Simple Care for Lasting Shine
Maintaining the brilliance of your Michael Turner sculpture is easy! Here’s what you need to know:
Regular Dusting: For everyday cleaning, gentle dusting with a soft, lint-free cloth is all that’s required. This will remove any accumulated dust or cobwebs without scratching the surface.
Fingerprint Removal: For fingerprints or minor smudges, a mild dish soap diluted with warm water can be used. Apply the solution to the cloth, not directly to the sculpture. Wipe the surface gently, then dry thoroughly with another clean, soft cloth.
What to Avoid:
Harsh Cleaners: Avoid using abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or steel wool. These can scratch the surface and dull the shine.
Strong Chemicals: Skip harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia. These can damage the stainless steel and leave unsightly marks.
Salt and Harsh Minerals: If your sculpture is located near saltwater or areas with high mineral content in the water, rinse it occasionally with clean water to prevent any residue buildup.
By following these simple cleaning tips, you can ensure your Michael Turner sculpture continues to be a stunning addition to your home or outdoor space for years to come.
